Jesus prayed that you should experience real and genuine intimacy and union with Him and with the Father, viz:

My prayer is not for them (i. e. Jesus’ disciples) alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you…

It is the way taught you by Jesus himself.

This Simple Way of Prayer Has Huge Beneficial Ramifications for the Lives of Those Who Use It

You might think that I would quickly exhaust a simple subject like a simple way to pray.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Why?

Because this simple way of prayer has huge ramifications for anyone who is searching for a genuine, close friendship and relationship with the Lord and/or needs His urgent help to solve a personal problem or crisis.

It has enormous, endless ripple-effects in your life and in the lives of all the significant people in your life.

It positively affects and benefits every aspect of your life, including all your personal relationships.

How Does This Happen?

It happens because when you pray regularly in this way each day for a few minutes (i. e. 5 or 10 or 20 minutes, but no more than 20 minutes), you will discover a gradual change in the lens with which you see God, yourself and others.

Your new lens becomes the lens of unconditional love i. e. the same lens through which God sees YOU!

Countless other benefits ensue from your changed lens.

You now have the strength to

• accept, forgive, and love yourself just as you are, warts and all 

• accept and love the all others in your life just as they are, without having to change them first!

• experience a new sense of self-worth and self-confidence

• experience a crystal-clear sense of identity so that you won’t need to rely on the approval of others

• establish and maintain a profound, lasting inner peace and joy 

• experience God’s rest (peace) i. e. be free from care and anxiety about the past, present, and future 

• sleep more soundly at night 

• receive God’s help in healing your skewed images of Him which have prevented you from receiving all the good things that God longs so much to give you  and hearing all the important things He wants to tell you

Yes, I know. 

In fact, 37 years ago, I would have completely agreed with you.

But no longer.

All I can say is…please try it for yourself.

37 years ago, I had no option left but to try it for myself.

Trust me.

You’ve got absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Please don’t put limits on God’s love for you.

The Lord longs to …

• bond tightly with you
• give you repeated, actual firsthand experiences of His love and peace and joy whenever you want or need them
• EMPOWER you with His love and peace and joy so that you can face the past, present, and future free from care and without anxiety
• become your unfailing Saviour
• become your 24/7 dependable, loving Friend

• become your 24/7 ‘go-to’ resource when times get ‘impossible’

God longs for you to experience what the scripture calls ‘shalom’, which is often (incorrectly) translated as ‘peace’ but actually means something much more, namely ‘TOTAL WELL-BEING’

Total Wellbeing is Your True Destination

Right Here on Earth

I want you to know that total wellbeing (shalom) is your true destination here on earth.

This does not mean that you’ll never suffer.

For as Paul the Apostle says:

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him ....

Philippians 1:29 NIV

And again:

…we are heirs —heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Romans 8:17 NIV

But it does mean that when life gets raw and rough and filled with pain and trauma, shalom will keep you anchored.

Shalom will enable you to make wise decisions, maintain your inner peace and joy, forgive those who do you and your loved ones harm, and emerge from your time of severe trial with your health —mental, physical, and spiritual —not only intact but improved.

You see, the Lord’s gift to you of peace and wellbeing is not just for Christmas day.

It’s for every single day of the year.

While Jesus didn’t promise you and me a rose garden, He DID promise you that He would

• look after you
• give you the kind of deep inner peace and joy that last
• protect you from all evil
• give you safe lodging when the going gets rough and tricky:

 

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

John 16: 33 NIV

Jesus’ peace ‘exceeds anything we can understand’ (Philippians 4:7 New Living Translation).

His joy is so full that it will overflow in you (John 15:11).
